+ I'm brand new to photography - shouldn't I wait before I take a course?
DEFINITELY not! This is the BEST time for you to take the course because you can avoid the frustration you'll get by trying to learn it on your own, or picking up misguided (although well-intentioned) information. By learning everything as and when you need it, you'll avoid all the costly, time and energy sucking mistakes that people make when trying to learn on their own, and get a fast track to gorgeous images.
+ I'm NOT a beginner - will Auto to Awesome work for me?
Absolutely! I'd say well over half of my current Auto to Awesome students are more experienced, but they enrolled in the program because they'd tried to figure it out themselves, or had even taken other courses, but they STILL weren't getting the images they dreamt of. You'll still get massive value from the program because you'll get all those missing pieces that actually make it come together.
+ I've taken other beginner courses and I don't get it. Why should your course be any different?
So many courses take elements from each area and package them together in a beginners course, but because you don’t get all the information, it never feels like it comes together and makes sense. OR they go deep into one element, like manual mode, but you need another course on light, and another on focus, and another on compositon until it all comes together. Because everything in photography is connected, so if you only understand a few parts of the puzzle, there’s no WAY you can get everything to fit together. Auto to Awesome is different, because it's a one-stop shop, so EVERYTHING you need to know is right there, laid out for you, in order, broken down step by step - so you see how it all works as a whole.
+ I don't want to be a professional - is this course still for me?
Provided you want to take professional quality photos, then yes, this is for you! The course itself focuses on improving your photography skills so you can take images that are so much more than snapshots - regardless if your audience will only ever be your family and friends!
+ What if i get stuck - will you help me?
Yes! There are several ways to get support. You can ask questions directly with the course itself, or you can post in our student Facebook group - either way you'll get targeted, personalised advice as soon as humanly possible. We also have monthly live coaching sessions, which is also a great time to ask questions and get clarity on anything that is holding you back.
+ Do you offer any guarantees?
You bet! You get 30 days to take the course for a test drive, and if it doesn't live up to your expectations, I will gladly give you a refund. All you need to do is write to me letting know why it wasn't right, and you'll get every single dollar back.
+ Do I need to do Auto to Awesome at certain times or can I access the materials anytime I want?
When you enroll, you'll get instant access to the entire course so you can go at your own pace, plus you have "lifetime" access to the course materials, so you can work to your own schedule!
+ I want to learn how to photograph landscapes / macro / street photography. Does this course cover that?
Although the principles of photography are universal and timeless, this course has been created specifically for those wishing to get great images of people either in lifestyle / documentary situations, or posed portraits. However, you can take the skills you learn to cover a multitude of different photography skills - from macro to street to landscapes.
+ Couldn't I just find the same information for free online?
I think there must be more free information available than ever before, but all that's doing is leaving us overwhelmed and frustrated. If you're not aware of what you need to learn and how it all fits together, all the free information in the world won't do you the blindest bit of good! Plus content delivered online is not linear - so it's all a jumbled mess of random information (and that's if you managed to stop yourself getting distracted by cute dog photos) so it rarely makes sense, and you pretty much never get all the info. This course will walk you, step by step, through the maze of learning photography, and how to take great photographs, so you can simply follow a "recipe" for success.
+ Do I need a better camera / lenses before I take the course?
Your success in this course will definitely NOT depend on you having a top of the range camera and the latest L lens. I promise, once you start to understand manual mode, light and composition, you'll start to get fantastic images with your entry level camera and kit lens.
+ How long do I have access to the course?
You'll have "lifetime" access to the course which means that as long as the course is actively enrolling students (and we’ve been running it for over 3 years with zero plans to stop!) you'll have access to it on the online portal - along with any updates or improvements we make! If we ever do decide to stop enrolling, you'll be given plenty of advance notice, and be able to download all course materials.
